Montblanc House is the name, and it reminds me of a very well known branded product. So, this house has a unique design and very much eye catching although it’s full with simplicity. This Japanese house is located in a peaceful residential area and designed by Okazaki-based Studio Velocity. This modern Japanese house is surrounded with three other houses. Although it might seem crowded, the architecture plan was to make “pockets of open space” and the inhabitants can see the beautiful views of the nearby mountains.
This Japanese concrete home has a strong personality that able to connect the indoor and outdoor atmosphere which is achieved through the asymmetrical voids on the walls that not only acted to connect the outer world towards inside of the house but also it allows the house to gain sufficient sunlight. The Montblanc House features with a true genuine exterior design, and the modern exterior design becoming more fun and playful thanks to the inclined roof. Like many Japanese house, the interiors inside are kept simple, spacious, airy and Zen in design where they’re all strongly enriched by a fresh small garden located on the first level, outdoor terraces and interesting pieces of furniture. Marvelous, simply marvelous!
